The U.S. military is extending the public comment period for the CNMI Joint Military Training Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)/ Overseas EIS (OEIS) until October 1, 2015 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (October 2, 2015, Chamorro Standard Time [ChST]). This is in consideration of the difficulties being faced by the citizens of the CNMI following the typhoon. A Notice of Availability and Notice of Public Meetings was published in the Federal Register on Monday, April 3, 2015. Three public meetings took place on Wednesday, April 29, 2015; Thursday, April 30, 2015 and Friday, May 1, 2015. The initial notice announced a 60-day Draft EIS/OEIS public comment period and requested the submission of all comments by June 3, 2015 ChST, and subsequent announcements provided additional time for the public comment period.
The U.S. military is extending the public comment period until October 2, 2015 ChST.
