The United States (U.S.) Marine Corps has prepared a Revised Draft EIS in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to support land-based expeditionary ground and aviation warfare training for all service components within lands leased by the military on the island of Tinian in the CNMI. This website is the online center for public information and involvement in the EIS process.

15-Day Extension of the Public Comment Period The Marine Corps is extending the public comment period from 75 days to 90 days. Public comments on the Revised Draft EIS and potential effects to historic properties pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) will be accepted from June 6, 2025 to September 4, 2025. A notice will be published in the Federal Register on August 22, 2025.
The Marine Corps published a Notice of Availability for the Revised Draft EIS in the Federal Register on June 6, 2025. The Revised Draft EIS evaluates the potential environmental effects associated with the Proposed Action. The public and interested parties are encouraged to review the information and documents provided on this website and participate in the EIS process.
